Why I Build

I want my software to help people, not replace them.

As a software developer, one of my favorite things is making people's jobs less stressful and chaotic. I love taking a slow, complicated manual process and turning it into a smooth, efficient system. It's rewarding to see people who were working overtime and struggling to keep up finally get some breathing room. Instead of shuffling paper, they can focus on work that matters more.

My wife Gráinne and I homeschooled our two kids from diapers to diplomas. A lot of what I build starts with a problem in my own family. Say My Name exists because people kept calling Gráinne "Granny". If I want something to exist in the world, I make it.

Volunteer Work

Most of my week goes to nonprofits in Collin County. I build the software they need and keep their computers, email and websites working, and I don't charge for it.

• CommonGoodMedical.org (ongoing): a custom volunteer and practice management application.
• Family Promise of Collin County (2025–2026): website development and technical support.
• Community Garden Kitchen in McKinney (2024): a custom inventory management application.
• McKinney Food Pantry (2019–2023): custom administration software.
• Kids In Touchwas free for every military family from 2015, in partnership with Our Military Kids.
